Thank you! (Damn, this was supposed to be a quick pose and render but I got carried away. I guess I need to produce art, not just models, to attract folks that don’t use 3d models to my Patreon)

A lot of people have suggested me doing both! So that’s what we’re doing. I’m not a good business person, so instead of hoarding the models that people want for so long because I can’t think of a good way to monetize them, I’ll just release the models for everyone for free, update them and work on them, and trust in the fans to help me and support me in any way they want. No unfeasible rewards or complex tiers or polls or anything, just free models and pure donation. Partially inspired by others 3d artists running a similar Patreon, as well as the fans and friends that suggested it.
Which models?
As many of my old ones as I can, including Peridot, Muffet, Undyne… not only the high poly Blender versions, but lowpoly ports to be used elsewhere. As well as future models.
What’s the plan?
-I’ll clean up each old models to upload the 1st workable version, since they were intended just for renders, not for general use. Fixing their Blender rigs a little and whatnot. I’m already doing that, you can catch me at picarto.tv/wo262 streaming while I work on them.
-Progresively do the same with each model and release them little by little. Not all at once
-Keep updating the already uploaded models into new versions with fixes and small upgrades, either things I had planned or suggestions. That’s the best way to not keep people waiting!
-Work on lowpoly versions of the models and texture work, so the materials at least are compatible with Unreal, Unity for VRchat, SFM… But it will mostly be modelling and material work, I’m still undecided on rigs. There are people with more experience than me in VRchat and SFM rigs, the models with come with the crappy Blender rig that I made for my own use in the meantime
-Do random renders and scenes with the models
-Eventually make new models and characters
-More random updates like unseen renders, small tutorials, small prop models (like DONGS) etc

The models will be initially uploaded to Gumroad as 0$ product, since there’s pretty much no filesize or bandwith limitation, as well as being able to update a file, but if there are other limitations that don’t work, I will chose another site.

I won’t make new renders of her. On top of that, the futa is nothing special, just a floating pengus, disconnected from the body, but have 2 renders I made back in december of 2015 that show her feet. I did purposely hide them because they’re kind of weird
You read it right, this is not working out, and Lord Dominator will be put on hold. Why do I quit?
For one, I decided time ago to do both Patreon and private commissions at the same time, but I can’t avoid giving priority to commissions, they are a safer source of income, thus I keep neglecting the Patreon characters.
Second, I never improved at my goal of modelling commissions or Patreon characters faster. I’m ashamed of admitting it, ashamed of being it, but I’m slow and lazy. As of now, I get distracted a lot and have low stamina when working continuous stretches of time on commissions or Patreon. I don’t like being that way and for sure I haven’t given up on changing and becoming a hard working person, but there’s no guarantee I will. I do have a dayjob as well, but it’s part time, so I really have no excuse to model more in my free time either.
Then, @blenderknight made a nice Lord Dominator that left me really depressed. We started around the same time and not only did he finish faster, it was animated, wasn’t made for money, and is IMO better than what I am currently doing with my Lord Dominator. I get stuck trying to improve in every aspect over his model.
And lastly, it’s not fair to keep people waiting on a promise, so it’s better not make the promise at all with this Patreon. It’s unnaceptable of me to be so delayed. I don’t deserve your patience. Will I open Patreon again in the future? Only if I can guarantee a way of not keeping people waiting on content.
